A Dino-tastic Birthday!

I made this cute little dinosaur card for one of little boys in my mommy group! We celebrated his birthday at Super Franks! The kids had a great time, but I have to say.....the mommy's had just as much fun! A few of us were huddled in the parking lot oohing and ahhing over each other's cards before we went in! That's what happens when you get a bunch of stampers together! I found a similar card on SCS and adapted using the punches that I have. I created "dinosaur skin" using my versamark pad, clear embossing powder and bone folder. I just love punch art and I LOVE how this one turned out! What do you think?

Don't miss Sale-a-Bration!

This was one of the cards that the ladies made at our workshop over the weekend! Everyone really loved the sweet little butterfly! Quite simple, but really cute! The workshop was a "Ladies Day In". The hostess had her friends over for a luncheon and an afternoon of cardmaking. We made 4 cards in total. There was a lot of chatting and laughing! I used one of the stamp sets that can be earned for FREE with any $50 purchase during Stampin Up's Sale-a-Bration. Sale-a-Bration only lasts til the end of March, so don't miss it! If you'd like to host a cardmaking event for a group of your friends, let us know! We'd love to set something up!

A new post.....finally

I know it's been a VERY long time since we've posted anything new. Life has been downright crazy. There has not been a lot of crafting going on but I wanted to post a new picture at the very least.

This is a card I made for our boutique in December. There is no sentiment on these cards, leaving it open for different uses. I apologize for the poor quality of the picture. I have purchased a new camera since taking this picture, so hopefully the picture quality will improve. (Unless it's the operator. haha)

I am posting this today in honor of my husbands aunt who lost her battle with cancer yesterday. She did not have breast cancer, but I thought the card would be appropriate anyway. Her battle with this disease was heartwrenching but she always kept a smile on her face and a positive attitude. She will be missed dearly and remembered fondly.
